The role of experiments for science seems apparent, but how has it changed over time and between disciplines? After an input by Julia Ravanis, we will have a panel debate to inspire reflections on the structure of science.

15:15 – 17:15 Liquid-liquid phase separation – perspectives from the past into the future!
We intend to discuss concepts on and applications of LLPS from the the history as well as in the current emerged biological condensation field. After initial input talks on fundamentals and current science cases by Joakim Stenhammar, Felix Roosen-Runge, Kasia Makasewicz and Marite Cardenas, we will enter interactive discussions in groups and plenum.

Over the last year, different ideas and activities emerged from challenges and other interactions in COMMONS – listen, get inspired, contribute! Short pitch talks will cover ideas from a broad field and focus, inter alia nucleation, phase separation, biomembrane aspects, LNPs, and MAX IV / ESS.
