Tommy has been elected Vice-President of the European Colloid and Interface Society (ECIS) European Colloid & Interface Society (ecis-web.eu). ECIS is a voluntary, non-profit organization of scientists. Its objective is to advance colloid and interface science and to promote cooperations between European scientists. Particular emphasis is given to the support of young scientists. ECIS seeks to cooperate with existing national Societies in European countries as well as with other international organizations. In total, the service lasts for 6 years. In the first two years, service is as Vice President; in the next two years as President; and in the final two years as Past President.
