Andrea Scotti has been awarded a grant from the Faculty of Science for infrastructure funding in 2024 to realise experimental set-up to perform interfacial rheology paired with a Langmuir through. This technique allows us to characterise the mechanical behaviour of liquid-liquid or air-liquid interfaces. Such measurements are pivotal to both understand the fundamental properties of particle-stabilised interfaces and to carefully design and develop new materials for applications in several field including, but not limited to, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and detergent, oil recovery and food industry.
