Approximately 45 former doctoral students from the Division of Physical Chemistry attended the division’s alumni day (from Finland, Gothenburg, Gävle, Uppsala, Portugal, Norway...). Lectures were given about the division’s history and on where the division stands today. The up-to-date research of the division was presented and the alumni were guided in groups led by our current post-docs and doctoral students that showed our new premises and instruments. This was followed by group discussions and open discussions in the coffee room. Later a photographic show with drinks was given at Café Ester and even later dinner was served. A farewell ceremony for Lennart Nilsson and Ingegerd Lind (both are retiring) also took place. Altogether 110 people were participating. Former co-workers at the division (retired or at other centres or divisions at Kemicentrum) were amongst these. It was a very successful event.
