Jerome Crassous

Jérôme Crassous has a researcher position since 2013 at the Division of Physical Chemistry at Lund University, Sweden. He got his M.Sc. in Material Science at INSA-Lyon (University of Lyon, France) in 2003 and his PhD at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Matthias Ballauff in 2009 at the Department of Physical Chemistry I on the "Structure, Dynamics and Association of Thermoresponsive Core-Shell Particles" ( He was a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Peter Schurtenberger at the Adolphe Merkle Insitute (University of Fribourg, Switzerland) in 2009 and then moved in 2011 to Lund University, Sweden. His research interests are focused on complex directed self-assembly processes mostly based on responsive colloids and on the physical properties of dense colloidal dispersions. As one of the Co-PI's of the Aniforce project (project grant KAW 2014.0052) founded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation, he is currently leading an independent research group consisting of 2 postdocs.
